Murdie often portrays the Maliki Jukurrpa (Domestic Dog Dreaming) and Malikijarra Jukurrpa (Two Dog Dreaming), the latter relating to the land adjacent to the windmill at Warlarlarla (Rabbit Flat.) The paintings retell the Dreaming of two dog ancestors, Jampijinpa and Napangardi, who travelled along a creek bed north-east to Yarikurlangu. When they arrived, Jampijinpa and Napangardi made a burrow to rest in and started a big family of dogs. The ribcages of the Jampijinpa, Napangardi and their family can be seen as features in the landscape in the Yarikurlangu area, and are depicted in her works. Murdie has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal owned and governed art centre located in Yuendumu, north-west of Alice Springs since 2012. Established in 1985 Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal-owned by its artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia.
